This project was a house of two halves – the kitchen and basement conversion were just finished to a high, contemporary standard, but the rest of the house was looking shabby in comparison. We repainted throughout and continued the carpet into the basement to ‘unify’ the entire property. The ground floor was predominantly open plan, with 2 connecting lounges continuing through to the kitchen and garden beyond – a typical layout for London period homes. We staged each room with care so as not to interrupt the ‘flow through’, with a formal and casual lounge that identified as different spaces, but sat comfortably side by side.
